THE EPOCH TIMES, WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump underwent his first annual exam since taking office for a second term with a visit to Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Washington on April 11.
“Overall, I felt I was in very good shape. Good heart, a good soul, a very good soul,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One later in the day, noting that further details are expected on Sunday.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters on Friday that Trump is in sound health.
“The president is in very good shape, as you see on a near daily basis here,” Leavitt said during a press briefing.
She said the routine physical included comprehensive testing and imaging and promised more details from White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella.
“There’s quite a lot that goes into it to make sure the president is accomplishing all of his goals,” Leavitt said. “And we will provide a readout of that as soon as we can.”
The president informed the world of his appointment via his Truth Social platform on April 8.
“I have never felt better, but nevertheless, these things must be done,” Trump wrote.
