New Jersey Dem. Donald Payne Jr. dead at 65

THE HILL – Rep. Donald Payne Jr. (D-N.J.), who represented New Jersey in the House for more than a decade, has died at the age of 65.

Payne suffered what his office called a “cardiac episode” related to complications from diabetes more than two weeks ago and had been hospitalized since.

The late congressman’s official website oddly describes him as is “a strong supporter of the Affordable Care Act [Obamacare],” ignoring the catastrophic impact of this socialized medicine law on all Americans, including his own constituents in the majority black 10th district of New Jersey.
