NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Non-profit leaders say the number one cause of bankruptcy in the United States is medical expenses, which can easily shatter the careers of music professionals in a time of need.
Dierks Bentley is one of the musicians that benefited from a program called Music Health Alliance (MHA) and now Bentley and MHA are looking out for the next generation of artists.
Country superstar, Dierks Bentley, understands the struggle.
Although he has been making hit records for 20 years and owns his own bar on Broadway, Bentley says with 30 people on his payroll it was very hard to navigate medical care.
