When it comes to sugar, many of us may be looking to cut down on the amount we consume. And it turns out cutting out sugar has one benefit lots of people aren’t aware of – better skin.
The UK government suggests that free sugars – those added to food and drinks, and those found in syrups, unsweetened fruit juices – shouldn’t make up more than five per cent of your daily calories.
This means that adults shouldn’t consume more than 30g of free sugars a day, and children should be eating much less.
