THE NEW YORK POST – A Florida man allegedly killed, cooked, and ate two of his pet peacocks to get twisted revenge against his neighbor for feeding them, according to court records.
Craig Vogt, 61, was arrested last Tuesday in Hudson after placing an outlandish letter in his neighbor’s mailbox to tell her he had killed and cooked his peacocks because “she continued feeding them,” according to an affidavit from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
The neighbors had been in a previous verbal argument over the pet birds, authorities added.
While being taken to jail, Vogt allegedly chillingly told police that he “plans to kill all his pet peacocks to prevent anyone from taking custody of them,” the document said.
He has been hit with a third-degree felony charge of aggravated animal cruelty, court records showed.
