CHATTANOOGA TIMES FREE PRESS – For some Chattanoogans, adding a side of fries to their McDonald’s order also added support for local families needing food assistance.
Owner-operators of local McDonald’s restaurants donated nearly $13,000 to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank in November.
The donation is part of the restaurants’ Side of Support fundraiser, which took place in September. For one week, a portion of fry sales from participating restaurants went into the fund to help fight hunger and support local families.
Owner-operators presented a check for $12,965.29 to the food bank after the fundraiser.
The funds will help provide thousands of meals to local families in need.
Local McDonald’s owner-operators are proud to continue supporting efforts that strengthen and nourish the communities they serve.
