London (CNN) Former WCW wrestler Silver King has died after collapsing during a fight in London.

The 51-year-old Mexican, whose real name is César Barrón, was competing at a Lucha Libre wrestling show on Saturday when he died.

Barrón was reprising the villainous role of Ramses, which he played in the 2005 Hollywood comedy “Nacho Libre.” He is believed to have died from a heart attack.

The London Ambulance Service reported that an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer were dispatched to the venue. They stated that Barrón died at the scene.

WWE said in a statement that it was “saddened” by the news of Barrón’s death. “WWE extends its deepest condolences to Silver King’s family, friends and fans.”

Sean Waltman, a former WWE star, said: “It was an honor to have been friends and shared the ring with the great Silver King. He truly was one of the greats and I’m heartbroken to learn of his passing.”

Eric Bischoff, the former president of WCW, added: “I am saddened to hear about the passing of Silver King. Like so many of the great Luchadores that helped Americans appreciate Lucha Libre and make Nitro the success it was, he will be missed.”

His highest-profile fight was for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Juventud Guerrera in 1998, which he ultimately lost. Read more. 

Professional wrestler King Kong Bundy dead at age 61

Denver Post | GLASSBORO, N.J. — Professional wrestler King Kong Bundy has died at age 61.

Promoter and longtime friend David Herro says Bundy died Monday. Herro posted on Facebook : “Today we lost a Legend and a man I consider family.” The cause of death and other details were not disclosed.

Bundy, whose real name was Christopher Pallies, was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The 6-foot-4 (1.93 meters), 458-pound (208-kilogram) wrestler made his World Wrestling Federation debut in 1981.

He was best known for facing Hulk Hogan in 1986 in a steel cage match at WrestleMania 2, which Hogan won. WWE said he was one of the “greatest … big men to lace up a set of boots.”

Bundy had guest appearances on the sitcom “Married…with Children.”

He was planning to appear next month at WrestleCon in New York City.
