Sorry Roseanne, Ambien Doesn’t Make You Racist
(Cecily Trowbridge, Zimbio) Roseanne Barr has apologized for the tweet that got the Roseanne revival canceled, and cited “Ambien” and “Memorial Day” as excuses.
The actress’s repentant messages followed ABC’s decision to cancel the Roseanne revival, which was renewed for a second season in late March.
“Don’t feel sorry for me, guys!!-I just want to apologize to the hundreds of people, and wonderful writers (all liberal) and talented actors who lost their jobs on my show due to my stupid tweet. I will be on Joe Rogan’s podcast friday,” she wrote in her first tweet, which was posted at 8 p.m. PST.
