Living to a ripe old age has its perks, and this legendary Hollywood icon experienced several of them this weekend.
The star of Spartacus and Gunfight at the O.K. Corral celebrated his 101st birthday by noshing on birthday cake, sipping vodka (with his cardiologist’s approval), and getting an enthusiastic greeting from his famous daughter-in-law, Catherine Zeta-Jones. Details below from Rare.
Kirk Douglas had a whole lot of help to blow out his many birthday candles
(Christabel Duah, Rare) The Hollywood legend rang in 101 years on Saturday and was showered in tributes from his famous family.
The actor’s daughter-in-law, Catherine Zeta-Jones, offered her own well wishes.
She shared a photo of the centenarian with the caption, “101 today!!!! My darling Pappy on my knee. Happy Birthday to my wonderful, inspirational and loving father in law, Kirk. Love you with all my heart.”
In addition to his 73-year-old son Michael Douglas, Kirk was joined in celebration by his wife of 63 years Anne, 98, and nieces and nephews, and Hollywood bigwigs.
