Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick publicly announced she was removing her breast implants after being diagnosed with Breast Implant Illness.

“For me, I had a lot of self-esteem issues in high school, and so when I turned 18, I already knew, I told my parents, I’m doing this,” Dansville resident Beth Wheeler said.

It was a life-altering decision for Beth. In 2003, she paid for saline breast implants following high school graduation, but everything changed after she replaced them with silicone in 2015.

“And that’s when all the health stuff started,” Beth said.

Beth said she noticed right away the weight gain, and daily migraines or headaches. It progressed to skin rashes, high blood pressure, cloudy eyes, and numbness in her feet and hands.

“They would curl up like this, and I would have to pry my fingers apart. I didn’t think I was going to make it to 40, is how horrible I felt,” Beth said.
